TUFFCRETE RMW - Conforming to IS: 2645/1975/Reaffirmed 1987 water proofing admixture for mortar /concrete

TYPICAL APPLICATION:

Water proofing admixture for Mortar (Plastering) and concrete to achieve reduced permeability and flow of mortar.

BENEFIT:

 Increases workability
 Enhances bonding quality
 Increases compressive strength by reducing water content.
 Reduces cement content, with the same workability and strength.
 Minimises the risk of segregation, cracks and bleeding giving a dense, closed textured of the plastered -surface.
 Chloride free, hence safe for reinforced concrete.

INSTRUCTIONS FOR USE:

RENDERING:

 Mix thoroughly 1 part of "TUFFCRETE-RMW" with 16 part of potable water.
 Add the diluted emulsion into the dry mix of cement and sand.
 The quantity of the emulsion i.e. "TUFFCRETE-RMW" and water is to be Pre-determined as per cement sand mix proportion and the quantity of mortar to be made at one time.
 The quantity of water depends on consistency of the mortar desired. Quantity of "TUFFCRETE-RMW" per bag of cement depends on the mix proportion. As guide add 1.5Kg/bag for CM 1:6 mix and lKg/bag for CM 1:4

CONCRETING:

 Make the emulsion as mentioned above.
 Do not add any extra water so that the water cement ratio does not change than that of specified.
 Add lKg. "TUFFCRETE-RMW" if cement content is 350 Kg/ m3 and above otherwise 1.5Kg. for concrete with cement content less than 350 Kg/m3.

PRECAUTIONS:

 Overdose of "TUFFCRETE-RMW" than the recommended quantity results in retardation of setting time of Mortar (Plaster)/Concrete.
 Overdosing causes more air entrainment, which may reduce the compressive strength of the Mortar/Concrete in early ages.
 Regular curing practices should be maintained.
 Once the mixing of Mortar has stopped, do not attempt to redoes the mix with the admixture.
